At that time I also stated that we would see nothing like the folks in tornado alley are seeing. That still holds true today and I feel confident will remain that way over the next several days for us.
Let's take a look first and foremost at the Storm Predictions Center Outlooks over the next three days.

As you can see from above today's threat continues to remain in the tornado alley area of the country. We are under a general thunderstorm risk. So nothing severe to worry about here in the county.

For Thursday our threat does increase just a little to a marginal risk. Basically the concern will be for strong thunderstorms but I think again we will stay out of the severe range for the county. I feel the severe chances for our area tomorrow will be to the north of the county.

On Friday the area is in more of a marginal risk for a few isolated severe thunderstorms but if this occurs it will most likely be late in the day.
So let's focus on what we should see tonight.

Late tonight we should start to see some spotty isolated showers and maybe a rumble or two of thunder start to develop around the county.

By the 10 pm - 11 pm hour we will see chances increase for some shower activity around the county but I feel thunderstorm chances are at a minimum.

As we continue to move into the overnight hours rain chances will continue to be spotty and isolated.

I would not look for much in the way of accumulation tonight. I am forecasting around a tenth of an inch. Most of the heavy rainfall will be in areas to our north.

I will continue to post updates here on Rowan County Weather's website throughout the next few days as rain chances persist and thunderstorm chance come into play.
For now enjoy your Wednesday as the rain will hold off until late tonight.
As always thank you for following Rowan County Weather!
