Friday Rainfall Update

Friday, April 22, 2016 - 11:42am

It has been a wet Friday to this point with isolated showers, some heavy at times falling around the county. As we head into the afternoon hours I wanted to give you an idea of what to expect through the rest of the day and into the early morning hours of tomorrow.

We can expect to see isolated showers continue to move through the county throughout the afternoon hours with a few areas of moderate rainfall at times.

As you can see from the image shot of the High Resolution Rapid Refresh Model above a widespread area of light showers is possible as the kiddo's begin to head home from school.

Showers will continue to mix in isolated at times throughout the evening although I think as we head into the evening horse most of the rain will be off to our north and east.

As we head into the overnight and early morning hours of the day tomorrow the rain will begin to clear out and leave us with a nice weekend!

Temperatures today will not climb much higher than they are now I am looking at a high of around 70º

As far as accumulation goes you can expect around one to two more tenths of an inch to what you already have where you are now. As always thank you for following Rowan County Weather!
