Thursday Morning Weather Update

Thursday, April 7, 2016 - 10:28am

The rain this morning has come and gone. Here at the weather center we had just under a half of an inch of precipitation. The good news is we can now enjoy sunshine for the remainder of the day. Expect temperatures in the mid 60's for the high. As you can see from the title picture of this post the models are predicting 64º by 4pm this afternoon.

The real key factor for the remainder of the day are the winds. As you can see from the model below gust could reach as high as 25 mph throughout the day today.

As I stated earlier sunshine will pretty much dominate the remainder of the day as clouds are starting to thin out around the area. At around 4 o'clock today skies will have very thin areas of clouds on occasion but mainly blue skies anywhere you turn off and on this afternoon.

Later tonight we could see a few isolated showers in the area around 9 or 10 pm. Our next real weather maker after today will be on Saturday when it will be cool and very breezy winds could gust to as high as 30 mph during the daytime hours on Saturday.
