Wednesday Night Weather Update

Wednesday, April 6, 2016 - 7:37pm

As we head into the overnight hours rainfall will begin to move in and will be around into the morning commute on Thursday. I am expecting the rain to begin to move into the county between 2 & 3 am lasting through the early morning hours to between 8 & 9 am. Rainfall totals look to be between a quarter to a half on an inch As you can see based on the European Model below most areas around the county will have around three tenths of an inch of rain by end of day tomorrow.

I am certainly not looking for anything more than rain at this point. There are no elements in the atmosphere that would have me concerned in anyway for Severe Weather overnight for the county. Jut plan on waking up to some lingering rain in the morning and pack a little patience on your morning commute. After the rain moves out temperatures will rebound nicely to a high in the mid 60's tomorrow.

I will post one last update later tonight with any changes to the models. As always thank you for following Rowan County Weather!
