With the potential still almost 5 days away some things still need to develop for this to be a sure deal. First and foremost the low the models are forecasting. The timing of the arrival of the moisture. How far east the moisture gets without warm air aloft interfering. As of right now I feel we have at least a 50% chance of seeing accumulating snow of around 1-3 inches is possible. The accumulation is still a bit iffy since we have to wait for the system to develop to be sure of the dynamics.
I will continue to track the models and update the forecast as things come together with the system. I just wanted to go ahead and give you a little bit of information that a winter storm is likely for this coming Monday. As always thank you for following Rowan County Weather!
