As we head into the overnight hours rainfall will begin to move in and will be around into the morning commute on Thursday. I am expecting the rain to begin to move into the county between 2 & 3 am lasting through the early morning hours to between 8 & 9 am.
I along with many others around the state of North Carolina get up every morning and provide information to the National Weather Service through the Cooperative Observer Program.
We woke up this morning to cold temperatures that were below freezing. How are we getting paid back for this evil deed in April? We will cold air and rain of course. The good news is most of the rainfall will occur overnight with the majority of us are sleeping.

Tonight temperatures are expected to get very close to freezing. As you can see from the title picture of this blog the temperature at 6am is going to be in the low 30's around the county. Let's take a look at a timeline hour by hour of what to expect overnight with temperatures.
As you may have noticed on the events page. There is a freeze watch in effect for Wednesday morning.
